FortaTrust.com Hosting a complete scam?
Anyone else here ever used Fortatrust.com for hosting?
I tried canceling using their bullshit cancellation process which requires you to cancel 31 days prior to your next billing cycle, have a clean balance and make this call between 1pm and 5pm EST. The old phone number is no longer in service. The 855 number hangs up after making a connection. It is therefor impossible to cancel according to their TOS. If you try canceling through chat or support tickets they tell you to do it the proper way and then don't respond when you tell them the number doesn't work. Then they keep on trying to bill you even if you cancel your card. They will try banigng it with numbers like $1 to see if its working or loaded (if Paxum) then bill more and more if it is to get all they can... What kind of company does that? Scamming companies are the only ones that do that. I love their promo stuff... I know it is all bullshit... The company is 1 guy who does everything and is nothing more than a reseller. But to the outside world they look legit... until you try to cancel. Anyone else have experience with them? ANyone else ever able to actually cancel? |
sounds like its as hard to cancel a gym membership as it is service with them

Do these numbers work for you?
1. US Toll Free: +1 855 201 7888 2. Standard: +1 703 466 0078 I get: 1. Your call cannot be completed at this time. 2. Number is no longer in service. Does that sound like a leading cloud hosting provider? |
Looks like , i peaked on WHT and it seems only bad reviews about them.

what a bunch of assholes

The first clue should have been the word "trust" in their domain name. It ranks up there with domains that have the terms "patriot" and "freedom" in their domain name.

Also, usually it is good to check first cancellation policy before ordering server somewhere, once i had to send a written letter for cancellation,so annoying.

If you are using Paxum I guess you are kind of screwed because you WILL lose money one way or another if they decide to bang your card sinc eI believe Paxum either does not allow you to chargeback or charges a ridiculous fee. With a card from a real bank you could simply chargeback all false charges and they would side with you when you documented the problems with canceling.
And it is a scam. One business day should be plenty of notice to cancel hosting. Seven days is the maximum for being reasonable. And the law should be that you are allowed to cancel by the same method you joined. |
They are going to cancel my server... At the end of the billing cycle... :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:321GFY

I had to cancel this card and start a new one because this dipshit mofo didn't seem to realize I canceled them back in 2012 when they were still Serverpronto or some shit like that. In 2013 he would keep sneaking the charges back in. You see 2 declines, but then I'd leave $200 on my card and he'd get his money. I usually wouldn't even notice he did it. But then I did notice in Dec 2013 and notice he converted my serverpronto closed account into a fortatrust open account. A server I never even used was sitting there collecting dust. So I tried canceling that one and it was impossible since his phone numbers are bullshit and nobody answers Skype. So he banged, banged, banged until it went through 3/28 and then again started trying in June and hasn't stopped because I stopped keeping money on my card. What legitimate company bangs your card like this trying to force a payment through on a canceled account? Sometimes several times a day! What legitimate company flies two disconnected phone numbers on their index page? What legitimate company requires you to cancel 31 days in advance of the next billing cycle and requires you can call them on a disconnected number to do so? |
Never heard of them.
