It'd usually seconds quality, at least that's how I find most of the stuff that's intended for Chinese retail markets.

I used to buy in bulk also when ubid.com didn't suck. All products came from a warehouse here in the States (2001)

Have bought from there many times, just be 100% sure you are buying samsung and not some knock off version.

Alibaba is great for merchandise, ridiculous pricing.

I just bought a Lenovo mobile from there a few weeks ago and it turned out to be a fake one, also the specs aren't real.. it should be an octa-core with 1280x720 display and 8mpx camera, instead of that its only dual-core, shittier display and around 5mpx camera..

You just need to be a little cautious and also buy 1-2 pieces to see if it's real..

I bought a replacement power jack for my sister's netbook in order to repair it. It was like $10 whereas the US suppliers wanted $50 and the netbook was worth maybe $100 at the most. Then I realized that it looks fake on the photos too :D (real lenovo's have a different middle button etc), but I didnt really cared unless the specs are the same as listed there.. but after downloading multiple apps for hardware identification it turned out to be a MT6572 instead of MTK6592 .. btw it was hidden in a pretty clever way...

I paid 120$ for the unit, so will try to get back at least half of it :)

US 4G LTE operates on a seperate band to the rest of the world.

Could only get 3G coverage and found international standards do not apply to US 4G Phone network transmission bands.

They run differently paired frequencies.

Sorry but he's 100% correct unless you purchased US specific models you got yourself some expensive 3G phones.

For USA 4G LTE you need Band 4 1700/2100.

The Band 4 hardware is missing from the phones so you can't just do a rom upgrade to fix it.

If you check the models specs and see Band 4 1700/200 you're in luck.

Never bought anything expensive there, just cheap stuff like cables, usb drives. How is quality of their phones and other electronics?

It is for my wife and it's pretty fast, so no probs.. too bad for the camera tho.. she needed a better one.. and it has 2 gigs of ram which is pretty nice..

Sofar the phone is pretty decent, a little heavy but the build quality is nice.

EDIT: also at alibaba/express you can buy from multiple manufacturers/sellers.. so the quality is different... it's like ebay only without the second hand/used products :)

It's not a fake. It's made for the Chinese or other "emerging" markets. It's not meant to be used or sold in the US (even though they can...to an extent.)

So it's a completely different product.. also the HW info is fake, you need to install Mobileuncle Tools to see the real values.. for example android shows octa-core (MT6592) where it is only dual-core (MT6572). Data from the Mobileuncle app:

I've downloaded AnTuTu and did a benchmark with it, which gives me a score what a dual-core should produce.. also the accessories shipped with it are cheap ones, without the Lenovo brand/logo anywhere on them.. not talking about the box in which it came :)

Again...just because it was made for another market does not mean it's a fake. Products for US market are often quite different from the US or EU counterparts.

Also, if the product is indeed counterfit, Aliexpress will give you a full refund and allow you to keep the item. This has happened to me once.

Yes I fully understand that design/looks etc can differ from market to market, but once again it has a shitter CPU a shittier display and a shittier camera as noted in the ali specs.. so it's fake :)

The three items you posted have been the 3 most notoriously knocked off items in history. That doesn't mean that everything else sold on there is fake. Again, this stuff is NOT meant for the US market. Some times it's "seconds" quality, some time there are differences.
