A healthy McDonald's diet

Interesting, but not surprising.

there's a guy that lost weight by only eating chocolate bars

you eat less calories that you burn: you lose weight

it says it also right there in the article, he stayed below 2000 calories/day

it doesn't matter what you eat - just how much

if thats healthy is something different

This is basically this jist of WeightWatcher.

Moderation is the key to anything. Eating. Drinking. Drugs. The list goes on and on. It's not a difficult concept to get, but plenty of people struggle with them all. Myself included. But that's really all the is to it.

Very true words.

i agree but at the same time, i think it matters what you are putting into your body. super saturated or high fructose or processed foods are just not good for your body, especially in large amounts. yeah so you might be under 2k calories, but you're not taking anything in that your body needs

Junk food is bad for you for sure, but gaining or loosing weight is just a math equation calories in vs calories burned :2 cents:

A university professor where I live had trouble getting his students to believe it, so he went on an all twinkles diet for a week on lost a few pounds.

mineistaken 06-30-2014 11:46 AM

The sad thing is that some retards will assume that MCD = healthy just because he lost weight. Good PR for mcd. Did they sponsor the dude? :)

If you do drugs 24/7 and don't eat at all, you are going to lose weight too - yet another healthy option for you rihgt there

dyna mo 06-30-2014 12:14 PM

most eat way more cals than required. I've been targeting 1400 cals a day max and find it's about the right amount. If my activity is more, ~150-250 cals or so usually provides the added energy, so 1650 max cals per day for me.

...........

Mcdonald;s sources their ingredients from the same place all Americans do, a burger and fries at home is not healthier than a mcdonald's equivalent.

Sly 06-30-2014 12:16 PM

In regards to McDonald's, last week I saw an article outlining some of the worst meals that they have.

One of the top meals was a cheeseburger happy meal. 800 cal. Children should not be eating these.

femdomdestiny 06-30-2014 12:20 PM

Is quality of Mcdonalds food in Europe different compared to US?

DerekMister33 07-03-2014 07:23 AM

Wow. Agree not surprising. Anyone see supersize me?

That is not true at all, if you eat say 5 donuts that have a total of 1500 calories and a TON of SUGAR compared to 1500 calories with of Chicken Breast, what do you think will happen?

if you only eat chicken breast you will have a whole new set of problems, but you definitely would do better with meats and vegetables if thats what you were getting at.

I see plenty of 'skinny' guys eating bullshit but in moderation (meaning keeping calories down), but their body fat %'s are through the roof and none of them are healthy so it ALWAYS matters what you eat. you want to be a fat bag of skin who happens to be lighter go for it...

I'm in no way anti fast food, I'll eat it myself but doing that regularly takes its toll and should never be a surprise.

Ya I know what you are saying but I was just trying to say that calories in vs out is not really that accurate. Specially as I said if you are eating a ton of sugar and carbs.

ialreadyknow 07-03-2014 08:39 AM

my diet is sex. Did you know that sex can be a fat burner :pimp

Choopa Phil 07-03-2014 08:42 AM

Quality and source of food is just as important as the number of calories you intake. I agree 100% with BryanG on this one.

Saw it, at the end the guy is almost dead.

bronco67 07-03-2014 09:48 AM

That's actually not a bad diet he was on. If he had eaten McGriddles for the entire time, he would be a mess even if he stayed under his maintenance calories. There's more to just the calories in food -- there's the reactions they can cause in your system to make you hold onto fat. Sugar has a certain amount of calories, but it also spikes your insulin, which will make you hold to stubborn body fat.

I've been trimming down for the last few months, and I found out that a calorie is not a calorie. That theory worked at first, but once I got down to the low teens in body fat percentage, I couldn't get results without eating cleaner food.

This guy was actually eating relativity healthy food, which believe it or not does exist at McDonald's.

This is why Weight Watchers sucks. They have no differentiation in carbs between sugars and other carbs, because they don't want you hating sugar. They do this because all of the food they sell has sugar in it to make it taste better.

It's all about numbers for them, with no focus on building muscle -- which is the best way to lose body fat. The fittest chicks at my gym spend time in the "guy section" lifting weights.

wehateporn 07-03-2014 09:54 AM

Problem is McDonalds food isn't actually food, so you'll still die early if you eat it each day

The reality is that most of the people interested in doing Weight Watchers type programs are people looking for more of an "easy solution." They are not going to be the person going to the gym, even for an hour a week, to build more muscle. They want something "effortless," a little purple pill.

I enjoy healthy food. Love vegetables, love fruit, cannot get enough fish. None of these diets make sense to me, but for someone that might be depressed and wants something "easy," I get it, even though we all know most of them will yo-yo.

wehateporn 07-03-2014 09:59 AM

He has a book to sell of course :upsidedow

A teacher shouldn't be encouraging people to eat at McDonalds :disgust

because there isn't much difference in carbs. they all convert to sugar and make you fat if eaten in large numbers.

My problem with weight watchers is that things like protein count against you for points and things like fruit you can eat endlessly without any points against, which is idiotic. you can gain lots of weight eating bowls full of strawberries and bananas all day..

brassmonkey 07-03-2014 10:27 AM

throw the shit in the trash and eat something else

CPA37710T 07-03-2014 10:35 AM

eating mcdonalds only is totally ridiculous, even if it fits your macros. You are eating shit, Mcdonalds isnt bad at all , i love it as anyone would love it, but people eats only this? how about vitamins, and nutrients necessary to make your body a functional machine, by following this ridiculous diets you would of course lose weight, but how about brain functions, bloodflow etc.

and this guy doesnt even mention his workouts!, he wont workout? what kind of a man is this one?

if your body burns 2000 calories a day, you will lose weight with both

i never said it's healthy, i just said it is proven that you lose weight even if you just eat chocolate or twinkies.
