Is the new Star Trek using Spock to carry Jewish heritage into space?

The one thing I have always loved about Star Trek is that it's about the future, when all men and women are joined together without the bullshit of racial restrictions, no poverty, no wars on Earth over petty bullshit land boundaries or religious wars killing people in the name of imaginary Gods from books written thousands of years ago....

Ahh, if we could only live as long to see those days, but most likely we'll kill ourselves off because we are a moron species.

O.k., back to my point....Yes, we all love Star Trek.

So why in the fuck does J.J. Abrams and the other 'powers that be' in Hollywood deem it necessary to give the new Spock a curly set of mini Jewish locks, where his side burns should be?

I know "the Jews" own Hollywood now, and most major actors are Jewish, even the new Spock is Jewish, (Zach Quinto) hey, no big deal, more power to them and it's none of my business.

But with that said, Do they have to push their religious customs into our beloved Star Trek??

There is no room for personal religious bullshit in sci fi and certainly it is not the place to be sneaking in Jewish symbols where they don't belong.

I'm not stating this to be some anti semitic jerk, but I think that personal religious beliefs should stay out of sci fi and it wasn't right what J.J. Abrams did to Spock and a few other characters.

I noticed Spock's sideburns first. Towards the bottom of his sideburns, the hair is curled and not growing out of his face like a regular sideburn would, but rather long hair curled down, which is in the tradition of Hasidic Jews. At first I thought they were trying to have a new look with the actors, or maybe a new look for the Vulcans, but then I noticed a few select actors have the new "locks" and it was not a uniform new look for all the men in Star Trek.

Spock, Dr. McCoy, Chekov all have the little curly side burns.

Capt. Kirk, Sulu and Scotty have side burns growing out of their faces.

The Torah says, "You shall not round off the peyos of your head" (Leviticus 19:27). The word peyos refers to sideburns -- i.e. the hair in front of the ears that extends to underneath the cheekbone which is level with the nose (Talmud - Makkot 20a). The Talmud explains that this law only applies to men, not to women.

The only men that curl their side burns in that fashion are Hasidic Jews.

New Spock & McCoy both have full bearded shadows and can grow regular sideburns, but didn't. Why? What type of statement is J.J. really trying to make? It wasn't an accident. Make up and costume artists are meticulous in detail, especially in multi million dollar films, so this wasn't 'by chance.'

So why didn't Captain Kirk, Scotty or Sulu have the curly locks?

Now when I see the new Star Trek movies I keep getting distracted by the Jewish implications and the 'not so subtle' message J.J. and the other producers are making with our beloved Star Trek.

I just hope he doesn't slip a few menorahs into Star Wars.

fitzmulti 07-01-2014 05:26 AM

That's odd, I only get distracted by:

Really??? You somehow see that as a hasidic haircut??

You better watch out for those Jewish bogeymen living under your bed.... They're gonna GET YA!!!!

NewOldPlayer 07-01-2014 05:39 AM

I hope he doesn't fuck with Star Wars. J.J. just cast his dad in it, and Carrie Fisher's lame ass daughter, who has no acting experience at all, and will play a young Princess Leia in flashbacks??? Oh Fuck. I hope he doesn't ruin Star Wars... that's Lucas' job. (to ruin it)

is that really what you see when you see this picture? that's pretty messed up man...

MrBottomTooth 07-01-2014 05:52 AM

Lol at a religion that tells you how you should cut your hair. As if a "god" would care about the style of your sideburns. What a joke. Baffling how anyone takes religion seriously.

Not a hasidic haircut.

It is intentional in his appearance, that's why it struck me as an obvious Jewish indication.

They aren't even side burns. Side burns grow from the face. He is wearing an homage to hasidic jews. It was clearly intentional.

Star Trek has Jewish actors, producers, director, film studio CEO's, the circumstantial evidence is overwhelming. It's clearly an homage and or a direct statement that was supported by the Director and all producers. A small silent statement.

Had all the men in Star Trek worn their sideburns like that, then, I would think it was a change in fashion and a new look for the men in the movie. However, because only a few select men (main actors) wore their sideburns like this, it's an obvious conclusion. Otherwise, there is no reason at all for this special unique look, for just a few. It's not logical.

I"m not condemning it. I'm just saying it doesn't belong in Star Trek. Goes against the grain of what Star Trek is all about.

When and where does he tell you? I do occasionally hear a voice in my sleep that says "grow the mullet." Maybe it has been god this whole time and I just haven't realized it.

sperbonzo 07-01-2014 06:37 AM

And did you notice those "black power" afro's in "Star Trek the Motion Picture"?

http://www.startrek.com/legacy_media...05/320x240.jpg

Those Jews are soooo sneaky, the way they get these subtle socio-political messages in with those crafty haircuts. Good thing we have fine citizens such as yourself to save us from the creeping jewish menace! Our hero!!!

signupdamnit 07-01-2014 08:19 AM

I was with you a little bit at first as I was expecting to see full on locks or something but then when I saw the picture it was "eh?". You must be kidding.

Rochard 07-01-2014 08:38 AM

So Jews shouldn't go to outer space?

fitzmulti 07-01-2014 09:43 AM

Of course, then there is this, not that there is anything wrong with that:

Aug 19 is Jewish Heritage Night! Enjoy a ticket, FREE parking, & an A's Jewish Heritage hat:

your comparison doesn't make sense. A 'natural' hair style worn by a black woman is her own personal choice of style or she is following the trend at the time. The 'locks' worn by Spock, (and the Dr. and Chekov) are clearly religious in nature because there has never been a 'style' in which sideburns are worn like that and that particular style is clearly religious, representing hasedic jews.

The photo isn't that great, but when you see the movie there are many close up shots of his locks, as well as the other select actors.

Personal religion doesn't belong in Star Trek.

Hard to find a pic of Spock facing the camera, because most pics want to show off his ears. When you see a close up Spock facing the camera, you will notice the 'curl' in his side locks, tweaked with hair gel.

Take a look next time you see the movie. It's pretty obvious.

better view of the elevated locks from the same pic.

It's really had to see it at this angle, he has to face the camera. They pop out and our twisted.

You can see his left ear is hidden, but you can see the side burn popping out, because it is a lock and not growing from his face.

sideburns grow out of the skin. You can't see the curl at the end of his sideburn?

Please. Watch the film and see for yourself.

BTW, I'm not bashing Jews here, I'm just pointing out that religion has now tainted a great sci fi film for no other reason than somebody's personal beliefs. It's a clear comment made by the production that really should not have been made. Yes, we get the fact that Jews own Hollywood and own this film. That's fine with me. Just leave the homage out of the film please.

Certainly you are not referring to the last ST flick as a great sci-fi film?

no, the first one. That 2nd ST sucked ass beyond sucking ass.

The script was beyond horrible. With all the money and talent they have, they can't come up with a NEW script??? They have to mutilate the Wrath of Khan and pat themselves on the back? Horrible film, just horrible. Meaningless death of Kirk, and Spock tearing up already??? Fuck, he just met Kirk. Took the real Spock years to losen up, but this new one is an emotional sack of shit. They turned all the characters into action heroes jumping off cliffs and acting like Marvel comic super heroes. My favorite was at the ending when they had Lt. Uhura beamed down to help Spock beat up Khan. No more security officers left? so they beam down a communications female officer? And that ending??? Gag! Cut to black...ohh.... and then... Kirk is alive! wow! how smart and clever. It was the tribbles!! hooray!!! Morons. The writers just gave up and didn't know how to end it, but they think the audience is dumb and will love anything they make.

Now that Star Trek Sucks, J.J. has jumped ship and ran over to Star Wars. I swear if he films Star Wars like he did Star Trek and shakes the camera every 3 fucking seconds I will scream!!

Of course he has to shake the camera every 3 seconds during ST to keep your mind off the fact that you are watching a piece of shit.

I hope Lucas and J.J. came up with a decent script for Star Wars. The brain needs more than just lasers and a shakey camera.

(1) WTF. I thought I already had you on ignore.

(2) Zach Quinto is not Jewish.

(3) That does not look remotely Hasidic.

(4) When the original Star Trek series came out, it was more common for men to use products like Vitalis in their hair. It would be weird to have someone's hair that slicked down with modern hair product technology. You are freaking out like a junior high school girl over a fractional difference in hairstyle.

(5) Yes, you obviously did mean what you posted as anti-semitic. Or, to be more specific, what you posted shows you are an anti-semite, even if you thought you were trying to do an awesome job of hiding it.

1) You love responding to my posts because you are a lonely middle aged woman that uses an 8 year old self pic for your avatar and you love causing trouble to get attention because you haven't had an orgasm without a battery operated toy for over 10 years because you hate men.

2) OK, so even if he's not Jewish, the post is about his Jewish locks created by the production of Star Trek.

3) That's your opinion. I have 2 good eyes and know the difference between locks and real sideburns.

4) Has nothing to do with anything I'm was writing about. Go make your brilliant observations in the "Why am I so premenopausal at age 43?" post.

5) You don't even know the definition of being racist or anti semitic. I am writing about the relationship between hair locks on an actor relating to religion. It's an opinion. I have the right to voice a simple opinion even if you don't like it. Stop throwing around big words you don't understand. Blow your white trash comments out of your dried up cunt and stop causing trouble. It's people like you that start religious fights by bending words and opinions.

AmeliaG 07-02-2014 12:04 AM

Looks like it was the anti-semitic whiny guy's other whiny bigot nick ShowMe69 that I had on ignore. My bad. All fixed.

I wish GFY would get the functionality where we didn't have to see thread titles started by people we have on ignore either. I wonder if vB has a plug-in for that.

AmeliaG 07-02-2014 12:09 AM

Hmm, no recollection of why PornoStar69 is also on my ignore list, but it looks like similar nick punctuation. Guess the guy makes a hobby out of being anonymous and irritating at the same time.

Ah well, I suppose the point of ignore is to ignore, so I'm out now.
