Not all the airfighters were kamikaze. They had to teach some "newbies" to pickup the plane - without teaching them how to land it. This guy appears to be Mitsubishi "Zero" pilot - the guy is Saburo Sakai - and he was not a kamikaze who fulfilled his task with success ;_)
