I am unsure if you guys have ever listened to, or currently listen to Opie & Anthony but Anthony got fired from SIRIUSXM for his tweets.

I used to follow them regularly and they are shock jocks who have been around for a while.

What do you guys think?

He will go on to do his own thing. I don't think there will be enough people cancelling their subscriptions for SiriusXM to bring him back.

Though, if I'm not mistaken...they just resigned a new contract in the past year or two. So I would imagine he'll still be collecting a nice paycheck for a while, regardless.

i used to listen to OA everyday back in the early 00's untill they both got fired/suspended for the church sex thing. After that i lost track. Were they still fun nowadays?

Still pretty good. Nothing too outrageous though as they didn't want to be fired.

I like Jim Norton. Good addition to the show.

Looks like he used illegal "B" word. Al Sharpton got job to do.

He was blowing up twitter yesterday but today it's all down. I bet an apology will follow soon and he will get his job back.

Ironic, since all their shows center around never apologizing for what you say haha

They are in the business of being edgy. You'd think Sirius would understand his rants.

But of course had a black female TV or radio host been attacked by a white man the outcome would be totally different even if she had said racist things.

Their contract expires in 3 months, so who knows what happens to the show. Anthony built a $250,000 studio in his home a while back and said he'll do his own stuff there. O&A have been talking about doing a podcast for a while.

I've been listening to Howard more lately, just because I got tired of Anthony bitching and moaning constantly. Twitter is just a way to get into trouble, so it's his own fault.

Opie can't carry that show on his own, even with Jim Norton around. It's over.

Anyway, I even though I've listened to him for years, I always thought he was a mental midget. Fox will grab him, because a bigot like him is right in their wheelhouse.

Opie and Anthony don't apologize. And they have stated for YEARS that if you ever do hear them doing so, that it will be 100% disingenuous.

I can't listen to talk radio. Just because someone has a face for radio doesn't mean their opinions should be broadcast over the airwaves.

Howard still any good?

Norton was funny and so were all the other charactersion the show (stalker patty and some of the frequent standup comics), but OA are so full of themselves that is the reason why i stopped listening. Nobody is that good ;/.

His Twitter rant is also proof of him thinking of himself as being superior. Idiot.

Howard was only funny 20 years ago when a fart joke was funny as a kid.

Jim Norton is hilarious on that show.

But wtf. How do they fire him when he did the right thing and what he said was an accurate description of the lady WITHOUT saying anything that's actually racist. So what if he called her a few bad words. He got punched and was pissed, most would do the same thing. at this point, he should've shot that dumb bitch under self defense.

Because they were looking for an excuse to get rid of him, and unfortunately he gave them one. SiriusXM fired Tim Sabean a couple of days before this incident happened, so it sure seemed like they weren't going to renew O+A's contract in October. It sucks but I think O+A have done as much as they can on the Sirius platform and need to move on if they ever want to move the show forward at all...

I was pretty sure these guys would only sign another contract if they got treated better. that company treats them like crap and they don't even pull the shenanigans they used to do.

i'd like to see them stay because otherwise i'd probably cancel my siriusxm subscription and move to podcasts. just easier to turn on the radio rather than download something each week.
