First day for legal weed sales in Washington State

Today the stores opened up for the first legal sales. It will be interesting to see how big of a turnout there is. Legal pot has been a huge success in Colorado, let's see if Washington follows suit.

Interested to see the stats on how many more car accidents there will be compared to before this.

Stoners don't change the channel with a remote control sitting on the other end of the couch. What makes you think they stand up to get in their car?

They started lining up last night to get the reefer,The one store said it had 10 pounds and that wasn't going to last

Thought I heard somewhere that accidents went up 40% (or something like that) in Colorado?

Don't get to touchy, I really don't care if people smoke weed or not. I don't see the big deal in it.

I just read a story the other day that said a study done in Colorado showed that the number of people in fatal traffic accidents that test positive for pot have gone up from about 5% to about 10% since it became legal, but there hasn't really been an overall increase in traffic fatalities. Actually the number of fatalities has dropped slightly in the last year.

It is still likely way too soon to know for sure. In 3-5 years we will have a bigger, better data sample, but I won't be shocked to see states with legal weed start a "Don't smoke and drive" campaign.
