Someone help me understand this... our videos on XVideos, "sponsored" by someone else.
 

Saw a few of our videos on XVideos... no biggie, it happens all the time, even though they're masking Alysha's name now so her movies don't show up when you search for them or click the "pornstar" link in the title... But, that's not what I'm asking here...

There were three videos in particular that I shot personally, I produced them, paid for the models, and used the content for our site and our DVDs. So, when I find these scenes on XVideos, I would normally just send a DMCA notice, like I just did. The problem is, three of these videos had a link on them that said, "This video is sponsored by 1 Girl 1 Camera", and you click that link and it takes you to the Puba Pornstar Network.

Am I missing something here, or is Puba posting my videos on XVideos and paying XVideos for advertising my videos???? Someone tell me I'm wrong...

It's popover banners, like on youtube, what is there to understand? Click the Little "X" and it goes away like on any other site.

Puba is just paying to advertice there, like everyone else. It's not like they selected your video and wanted to be the "official sponsor" of your content.

I thought those banners only came up on videos that sites posted for THEIR own videos. See an Evil Angel video, the banner will direct you to their site. Lots of examples like that.

This was a content share video Alysha did with Anna from 4RealSwingers.com. And, while we aren't thrilled with them using it on XVideos, it is clear that's where it came from. So, why are we getting links to Puba on our videos, which are stolen to start with?

Forgive me for not knowing the ins and outs of the tube world... I try to stay off of them except to send DMCA Notices. But, I've been looking and I don't see any random ads going to sites that aren't affiliated with the video.

Every video I find that has the ad pop up, the ad is from the same company as the video. Evil Angel, Porn Pros, even Dixie's Trailer Park, Reality Kings. All of these ads match the video.

Xvideos has a habbit of using other's 'content partner program' uploads to push sites they made deals with.

Example: I uploaded a bunch of AsianSexDiary videos, then once day, a few of them were changed to say sponsored by some other site. A white single-girl site. They also LOCKED the videos so I could not reverse what they did. When pressed for an answer, they did NOT answer why they did it and just unlocked it for me. Then turned around and started targeting my watermark urls in their tag pages to gain SE traffic on our type-in urls.

They are not here to do business with webmasters with their program, they are in this to make profit using the webmasters work and don't care who they fuck over in the process. If this was brick n mortar, there'd be anti trust and fraud lawsuits so far up their asses, their children's grandchildren would be poorer than dirt trying to wipe their family name clean.

They allow public uploads and the choice of a sponsor from the list. So you can basically upload any video and assign any sponsor to it.

In this case, the site name begins with "1" so the site could be the first one on the list and therefore most people pick the first option , or maybe the script does that automatically if none is selected.

it's getting to be impossible to get money invested into production back with shit like this going on. I thought it was hard when hotels and cable were crunching the revenue but this is taking down to the loose change too.

Anyone know who the parent company is? Is it FC2 who are getting the shit sued out of them for massive piracy by DTI?

Someone has developed an extensive xvideos for Japan though. .jp tild and everything. They have a problem with keeping animals and kids off their site which is a shame. And now this illegal use of content on top of it.

Then first step is find out who that is.

They are uploading your vids for the type in traffic the watermark gets.

xvideos are just running pop over banners because none are set by the uploader, doesnt mean the video is uploaded/owned by puba

Old videos and old account. We used to give access to sponsor link codes to any user, so that they could be responsible and promote the sites the videos were coming from.

It was a feature designed to benefit content owners but it turned out as being used randomly like in this case.

Now only channel accounts can use these link codes in players but we could not just revert all the old associations because many are valid.

As time goes we clear many of the old wrong associations. We have no interest in sending this traffic to the wrong place. We have no deal with these other companies contrary to what was suggested.

I am very surprised that nobody noticed so far that a channel like "1 girl, 1 camera" is probably on top of the list. Its in alphabetical order and the numbers come before the alphabet.
