More shut down or worthless programs than I can count.

Products I sold for years ($1,000 plus sex toys) no longer have affiliate programs because so many affiliates cheated)

Multi-tier affiliate programs (good ones too) took all the sales for themselves.

My best sex toys programs owner retired and sold his business to the least businesses like women whose web site doesn't work and wont return calls.

Can't wait to see what shit I will be dealing with when I go through all my porn sponsers....

What types of things are you doing in mainstream?

8 years is a long time to leave anything dormant in the adult industry. I have to change sponsors after 6 months now-a-days and sometimes sooner. There are only a handful that are still around for me that were there since the start.

I never left it, but lost all of my sites and I know what you mean - I am almost thinking that losing them saved me a mountain of editing and I just started all over - it seemed almost the best route with far less headaches - the industry has definitely changed - for some things better, for some not so good - but changes all the same... good luck on your new adventures into a crazy ride ahead. ;)

Was concentrating on a few key clients in travel and distribution and let my own branding sit on a shelf.

Now I am stepping up my own branding again under the travel niche as well as breathing life back into adult - even if it is just to flip it and walk away.

What shocks me is how some of the leaders in this industry took such steps backwards or destroyed what was a great business.

I always have looked at long term trust, growth and reliability. Seems like these ideas are now obsolete.

Thinking back to about 12 years ago sitting in a hotel room party with Dead, Crow, Watsonian, Adam, Bad Dog, and a bunch of other from Porn City, I had no idea how far things would change. Everything I was doing then is now gone or changed completely.

So you ignore a business for 8 years and you are surprised that things have changed ?

Yesterday I went in removed virtually all my links and most of my pages on most sites. As far as I am concerned I am re-researching everything and starting from scratch - a lot wiser and with far better skills.

No question the mainstream effect of toys hurt. So did the massive influx of cheap knockoffs driving down prices on high end goods.

The sad part is the extremely innovative new products I was expecting to see blow up or be invented, so far never happened.

Low rating was due to packaging. Buyer be aware, the wand was as described, but the problem was that the description was also written on the address label for all to read, including the postman. I had assumed that some discretion would have been used when sending this product through the US postal system. I would not buy from this seller again.

I've done that a couple of times - I go back and look at some of the things I put up when I first started and I can't believe I was ever able to do anything, much less make a dime from it. lol
