LOS ANGELES (AVN) - A 10 year old internet icon has been abducted in the broad daylight of the internet. Sources say that this was no ordinary smash and grab kidnapping.

Authorities are hot on the trail of these internet bandits who have yet to make any ransom demands or express any motives for the kidnapping!

I have all the forums I frequent bookmarked and I could always tell GFY apart with the favicon...now it just blends in with all the other forums :(

Silly vBulletin kidnapped our GFY favicon, but to the rescue a handy admin should be able to right click and save the famous gfy_lady.jpg and whip her into a shiny new favicon :) But don't tell vBulletin we don't want the GFY Lady of the board kidnapped as well :thumbsup

UPDATE!!!!

We have received the first solid lead on this case. The authorities are currently working on the state, federal, and global level to bring this case to a close a bring back our beloved favicon.

One bit of upsetting news though. The favicon's middle finger seems to be the biggest allure for the kidnappers. So we have no clue what level of trauma the favicon may have and be enduring during this time.

I am happy to report that during a midnight raid, authorities were able to take down the perpetrators and recover the beloved Favicon!
