is Stella the shittiest European beer of all? cause i think it's fucking killer!
STEALLA!
What are some other good shitty euro beers? |
I just know that GUINNESS beer (not sure what exact brand of it) i tasted last year was Shiites beer ever!
Very poor taste, very soft, very shit and expensive a lot! |
Stella, Czechvar, and Pilsner Urquell
-- Probably my favorite euro pilsner-esk beers. |
Stella is funny. In the uk it is called wife beater. In the USA it is sold as some premium shit.
|
Stella??? bleh...

Stella is the best, followed by Staropramen, everything else doesn't even come close
|
Stella is for girls.
|
Trappist Rochefort 10 or St Bernardus abt 12
|
look for beers from small breweries...a lot of them are in Poland, Czech and Germany....
but I doubt that you will find any of them in USA.... forget about Heineken and other "big breveries" shit. look for unpasteurized and unfiltered beer with real hops.... not some shitty chemicals - but once again - I doubt if you will find any of them in US... |

For summer drinking I like the Belgian Cherry beers, or for mass consumption, San Miguel (cheaper than water). |
It used to be my favorite beer till i entered world of Czech beers.I think now i even more prefer hoogergarden of Belgium beers .

I find Stella gives me a headache - Becks is better and there is a Polish beer that has started getting popular here that is great no hangover at all - Can't remember the name though..... |

Well, not real, but for example Heineken is kind a bland for my taste. |

I still like it though :-) |
Stella Artois is the commercial Belgian beer, but still beats any American beer. That being said, I can't remember how many different Belgian beers we had while up there, but Stella wasn't on the top of the "best" list, so if you want some really good Belgian beer, keep looking.
We luckily (and apparently illegally since it's not supposed to be resold) got our hands on a few bottles of Westvleteren, and I must say, it's exclusivity matches it's quality and taste. It's not going to be for everyone, but for me -- not being a beer guy -- it was really, really good. |

i like it but whenever i had it in the US, it tasted quite differently than the german version - and not exactly better in Vegas I had a beer that actually came quite close to what I prefer: http://www.newbelgium.com/beer/detai...e-91a0a5db67ca |
Miller High Life: as good as beer gets. Ice cold it can't be beat.
|
Do you feel any real difference between mainstream lagers/pilsners? carlsberg, becks, stella, heineken, tubirg whatever...

The one that does hit me differentky is pabst blue ribbon, im a happy drunk but after 6 + pbr im having an absolute blast! The nicer beers hit nice but a heavier buzz to me, I'm not jumping off the couch when my team scores with nice beers. The shitty malt liquors provide a good beer buzz too. 40 oz of st. Ides = buzzy And i also prefer the shitty beers for breakfast beer buzz early in the morning. |
Stella is my go-to for mass-produced beers. Blonde, crisp, nice bubble feel, not watery, clean aftertaste. Heineken is fine with me too, although I don't like the bubbles or aftertaste as well. Chimay is yummy and pretty widely available as well.

If you enjoy European beers, you missed a great event last Saturday

I prefer local sorts :thumbsup

We have Stella Artois brewed in Australia in it would easily outsell Forsters it is all in marketing. In Tijuana mexico you can can buy a Carona for probably under a dollar come to Australia and you will pay $10+ and it sells because it is boutique apparently. |

I really like this Belgian beer one.
http://www.receptjes.be/pics/bieren/rodenbach.jpg The Vintage version received some medals and was even found one of the best beers in the world. http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/rodenbach-vintage/112249/ For people that are sending traffic to us, I can arrange some high quality Belgian beers on the Amsterdam / Prague show :-) Top 50 beers according to RateBeer.com : http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/top-50/ |

I do not believe it is 10 dollars in Australia. That sounds like bar/club price, not store price :2 cents: |

I know, its Lager, but this is what I drink, have been for years, nothing comes close to it IMO! |
+1 for Stella, the guy working in the corporate beer industry told me it's their best product.
|
Never liked that sweet flavour of Stella. The ones I like the most are Velvet and Kilkenny, these are half-dark beers, quite similar to each other. Czech and German lagers are fine too and much more ubiquitous.
|
I know a guy from Leuven Belgium where Stella is made. You know what they call it there? Wife beater beer.
|
Stella is a rice beer parody, go with Sapporo.
|
Ah, my statement, anything than Lager sucks donkey balls.
|
Have to say our Hungarian beers are also aweful. I would recommend German and Czech pilsner type of beers
