I frequently fish for trout. There are a lot of lakes and streams in my AO. Bluegill are my favorite tasting fish.

Been getting some good size Channel Cats, small Bass and lots of Crappie of all sizes.

I prefer eating trout but catching bluegill on ultra-light gear is more fun.

I have four giant packs of basa fillets in my freezer. They're a SE Asian fish in the catfish family, farm-raised. They have a density to the meat and a light taste that I've come to really enjoy.

When I can't get any lake trout, bass, whitefish, northern, or my beloved favorite walleye, I don't mind at all a good feed of basa.

I'm with amp, there's no shame in a trip to the store to get fish.
