We got really lucky with my daughter I guess. She turns 1 on wednesday and she did not keep us up at night. Other than feeding her.

bluebook18 07-28-2014 02:35 PM

Congrats damian , that would keep you busy :)

Naughty 07-28-2014 02:53 PM

Nice 'trick', congrats. A kid is great (Unless you value rest).

NaughtyRob 07-28-2014 03:03 PM

Nah it's not that. She's doing well for 8 days. I am just used to 8 hrs uninterrupted kip. Now it's the getting up every three hours that is taking its toll. Will get easier.

And she's totally worth it :)

Of course it is. Happy for you man, I remember having mackenzie last year and it was and still is the best thing that has ever happened to me. It only gets better man.

Zuzana Designs 07-28-2014 03:49 PM

Congratulations on the addition to your family. Little baby girls are sooo sweeeeet. It's get a little better every week as far as sleep :)

My little girl just turned 9 months but she is still getting up 3-4 times a night. My son is 2 and he was sleeping through the night at 7 months. Every one is different. Hopefully your little girl likes to sleep for long periods of time so daddy can rest :)

My daughter didn't make a squeak the first year of her life.

Then she went fucking nuts.

Good luck. :1orglaugh

keysync 07-28-2014 05:44 PM

Ha, you guys and your cherished young ones.
Wait until they hit 16 and all hell breaks loose....

WDF 07-28-2014 06:38 PM

Congrats Damian :thumbsup

Cherish the early years, they grow up too quick, and become unmanageable when they reach a certain age. That's when the real fun begins. :1orglaugh

Tell your wife to stop slacking...

Women love that right after labor haha

Congrats ;)

Cherry7 07-29-2014 01:55 AM

Time will now race by.

Try to enjoy every moment, you will miss it in the future. :2 cents:

Marie 07-29-2014 02:15 AM

Congratulations Damian! Lots of luck to your family. And the nights... well, they're probably all worth it (typing this with bags under my eyes... will they ever go away? :S ).

Grisey 07-29-2014 02:17 AM

Congrats man, time does fly abit to fast.... mine's 6 in sept

John HostiServer 07-29-2014 02:56 AM

Congrats. Try to find a rhythm, and just keep repeating the routine : )
If needed try a hairdryer to calm a baby down. Works wonders.
PS turn it on and point it away from the baby

Paul 07-29-2014 04:54 AM

Bets thing you will ever do with your life !!!! Congrats

I have 3, and yes, it is obviously more of a logistical challenge with more kids, but the first one.....I was never more tired than the first 2 months with him. And I didn't even have to deal with getting up in the middle of the night etc.

Its the biggest life shift one can deal with. One day, its all about you, then next, you are a distant second, lol.

Wish you all the best
