Do you let google store your search history?

I was poking around in my google account and realized i was still letting them keep a record of my entire search history. I disabled that shit. I'm sure they probably still have logs of it, but at least it's not instantly accessible to anyone that manages to gain access to your Gmail account.

The new thing seems to be police going through suspects' search history and reporting their findings to the media.

I went back a few weeks and noticed I tend to search for some really bizarre stuff when i'm trying to rub one out. Not something i'd necessarily like my kids to discover some day, or to be read on the news. Lol

im always logged out of everything, it's a habit.

It will come out in the media someday, but you just have to face the music.

After all to deny you searched for those things, is to deny yourself the truth and media is about the truth or at least fox news is. They are focused on delivering the truth without propaganda.

Porn mode? your browser has it for a reason :thumbsup
Incognito - Private Browsing - Private Window etc..

Generally that will keep you logged out of everything including google

Well, sometimes delete all of it, even dough they can see whatever they want no matter what you do... :)

Even if your browser ignores (incognito) the PREF cookie, or you regularly clear cookies, your IP is still logged. Unless your IP is dynamic, or you use an anonymising service with multiple IPs (like Tor), they'll still be able to tie searches back to your ISP account.

Don't forget that there's a bunch of Google services which may be embedded into other websites, that will "leak" evidence of other browsing activities - analytics, recaptcha, plus, etc.

Consider that every time you load a thread on GFY with a youtube embed you are transmitting the referer (the thread URL) to Google.

edit: I see GFY uses Analytics, so make that every thread on GFY that they see the URL of.

Imagine a presidential candidates search history being made public.

No, and I don't use Google search as logged in. I also diversify a bit my search engine use.

Our writing style is unique and we can be traced by that (with enough computing power). I have took into account that at some day all my writings in internet can be tracked and put in as a book if someone wants to. Not that it would have been slowing me down that much from "fucking around". At least people have something to read about when I am like the guy below and I rule the universe single-handedly. "Boe's head is said to be millions of years old", so I have time to execute my plan, I just need my head to be pickled. :)
