Plus,is'nt no follow completely useless since they made update "no-scalping" which prevented directing juice to certain section of your site,meaning juice is spent no matter do you add no follow on links or not.

I did not even think about it, I guess this is good for anti spam.

I did not say it would stop, I say it could slow down.
You do not know how many spammers on blogs there woudl be if they were do follow. I estimate - much more. Plus most of the spam on blogs is automated so they do not pick. You can not do automated on gfy.
It will definitely discourage some people, that is a fact.
