Face book twitter links on adult website

i'm getting like 400 plus friends request day on facebook for www.tarateen.com

seems like a good idea as it builds her fan base, lets guys get closer to her etc but is this classed as traffic leak?

more people adding-her, means less people actually staying on the page to sign up

what do you think about this

I didn't navigate your site, to see where you have positioned your social media buttons ...
however you should not look at this as a leak but instead a marketing net, that has allowed you to soft sell Tara over time, as "she" engages her audience on FB and opens her world just a little to them.

Do you have a separate tour for your affiliates?

If not, it would be a good idea to have one with *ZERO* traffic leaks. There are affiliates who won't send traffic to any sites/tours with even one potential leak. Offering their traffic an alternative way to "keep in touch" with your performers via social media is often seen as moving a potential signup from their account to your account over time.

What happens is an affiliate visits your tour, clicks the Facebook link and sees that on the performer's About page there's a link that will override their cookie. Then they cross your program off their list of sites to promote.

The only reason for any traffic leak on an affiliate version of the tour is a bad reason. Either you protect your affiliates' traffic 100% or you don't. If you don't protect their traffic, you can expect to get a lot less of it.

But it's your program, so you should make your own decisions to do what best reflects your own attitude towards working with your affiliate partners. After all, most affiliates will assume that's what you're doing anyway.

You are not so welcome at Facebook http://www.thedailybeast.com/article...delete-me.html

Twitter or other social media is a safer bet. Allowing your "fans" to use their Facebook networks for marketing on Facebook is a long term bet :winkwink:

Not allowing right click to open in new tab or window isn't good as that is a solid traffic leak as the surfer is completely leaving your page. Overall it is good to have these links but make it so the surfer stays.

What's more important? Getting a new follower? Or having them stay on the tour and getting a new sale? I would hope sale.
