WordPress Gallery Question

Does anyone here know how to re-order WP gallery pages, without recreating the gallery, and without using a plugin?

Not re-ordering the thumbs, but the actual gallery pages.

Thanks in advance! :thumbsup

What? What are you trying to do? To "re-order" what?

When you click on a thumbnail, you get to a gallery page.

By default, this "gallery" page allows you to navigate using "previous" and "next" image arrows.

The problem is that, when you alter the thumbnail sequence, or upload your images in a batch, the navigation on these WP Gallery pages is no longer in sync with the order of the thumbs.

Shy of recreating the galleries every time you need to modify them, or needing to use a 3rd party gallery maker, is there a way to re-order the default WP gallery pages, to match the sequence of the thumbnails, whenever you add, reorder, or remove thumbs from the mix?

I don't know, I don't use that "prev-next" feature, I have turned it off.

Yes, turning off this feature is quickly becoming the clear solution to the dilemma, no doubt.

I just thought I'd give the idea of fixing it another go - hence the question.
