2014 Perseid meteor shower
 

The 2014 Perseid meteor shower will peak between August 10 and August 13. astronomers suggest that observers try their luck to catch some Perseids before dawn on August 11, 12 and 13.

Moon will look pretty cool if the clouds keep away...

Unfortunately...
A huge, full moon, will make it more difficult to see meteors, as opposed to a dar "no moon" sky.

:( It was the worst weather today. Yesterday was great but we got some of Bertha which meant rain and cloud all day.

Needless to say I didn't see any meteors or cool moons. :(

I need an app to tell me when to go outside and look.

It's the app that tells you when it is dark outside, with no (or few) clouds. ;-)
