Stream Mate is running a commercial on TV?
I was watching Spike TV here in Northern California and much to my surprise... I saw a commercial for Spike TV? It was just a girl moving around in a t-shirt with the url streammatetv.com....
Anyone else find this interesting? |
They've been pushing that for a while AFAIK.

I've seen that for WELL over a year...

The ads have been running on Comedy Central for ages. Recently they rebranded to sbabes.com.

Those commercials have been on TV for a couple years. Surprisingly, despite all that advertising, it only has an Alexa of 1,129,898.

I had no idea and was surprised to see it...

It's been on TV for a while, only at night though..that means you don't watch TV at night and sleep early..

comcast on demand has people like reality kings on it, so nothing new there.

Has been on free digital tv in LA for more than a year I believe.

Not that uncommon actually, this type of advertising is being used on plenty of regional or even state wide channels (where allowed) in Germany for years. So obviously it has some ROI, although it's also a branding thing, always good to be on TV as people tend to believe that anything on TV is more "oficial" and "established".
Ran a two hour live show on a satellite as a test in 2008, got indeed new sign ups, distributed in cca 24 - 48 hour period since the broadcast start (while the attention span lasted). These days, with smart TV's getting internet browser or tablets that may be at hand when one watches TV, I guess the ROI of impulse buyers may only get better. |
Imagine a TV ad with a super hot girl who is online right now saying talk to me right now, with a click me now button and presto you are in her chat room, that would be kinda cool would convert very well.

Lot of streamate commercials since 2011 at least
