Fucking Kids Birthday Parties!!!!

My first born turned 5 on Thursday. We had a really nice afternoon with her and close family and friends.
We went to a local play centre and all in cost maybe $60.

A few months ago my wife started planning her 'party'.. This isn't the party for her close family and friends though. This is a party open to all, pretty much everyone in her school is invited.
We are having Frozen characters, snow, balloon sculpting, a frozen cake and even now, the day before she is trying to get hold of someone she knows that can create arches out of balloons..

On top of all this we have had to hire the hall and we will need to make all the sandwiches etc. The party is scheduled to last just 2 hours..

This 2 hour party is likely to cost in excess of $500.

Unfortunately I am paying for it all..

Oh yes and I was also forced into buying a Barbie house. Cost.. $240

This 5 year olds birthday is costing like $1000. I could have a really nice holiday with that money..

The joys of fatherhood and marriage huh?

Did she also force you to have kids?

You are blaming your child for spending more money than you want to spend. A five-year-old.

She isn't the problem.

Welcome to the USA...spoil the little fuckers so they grow up spending money and keeping those Chinese factories nice and busy!

.... that's not the kind of birthday I want to have, where the theme is fucking kids. Awkward title, but I clicked anyway.

I think he was blaming the wife. Anyway you should be happy i bet your daughter enjoys it.

Put the money in a college savings account and give the kid a day at the park with her friends. Nobody remembers their bday parties at 5 wtf. And nobody keeps those friends. complete waste of money and time.

Or you could just lean down, pick up your balls and say no to your wife and 5 year old...

Best-In-BC 08-16-2014 08:15 PM

Quit botching and be happy ;)

At least you didn't have Tampico juice at your party. That shit is the California urban birthday party staple.

Blech.

Just the joy of your marriage. Blame the wife, kid has nothing to do with it :2 cents:
