Most sexy piece of Artwork, hanging on you wall (PIC)
http://i.imgur.com/GieT9w5.jpg
Its one of the original flags, visible in the 1977 "God Save The Queen" video, that was seen in the video... It was also signed by the entire group ! :thumbsup I just paid a little over £13,000 for it... But it appears thats a few of the pistols, couldn't spell their names correctly... ... Yours??? |
I expected to see shit smeared all over a canvas so this is a nice change from you. Cool piece of nostalgia there.

on a side note I have a friend who owns a gstq black label sedationaries T which looks like a well used t-bag, bought back in the 70's, he would not part with it for all the cash on the planet so I guess its just down to "it's worth whatever some one is willing to pay" |

Made of linnen or cotton or whatever, that you could put a flag pole, and fly in the wind... Its NOT paper, as in a poster... |
1. Your should put that in a frame
2. Where did you get it? Online? Im looking to pick up some classic rock items as well. Thanks |

I didn't get it online (per-say) however, I'm unfortunately not at liberty to disclose my source :( Simply cause its a private contract kinda thing, and I DONT MEAN THAT TO SOUND LIKE BS... its just the way it factually is... Sorry... |
PS- Yes it came with full providence... The misspelling of the names were deliberate !
|
Very cool! I loved The Great Rock N' Roll Swindle!

My wife did INDEED shit all over a canvas... And there were actually 3 canvases shit over (Despite what the movie wants to say) 1 - Kept by me, but left behind when I got deported :( 2 - Sold for a FUCKING STUPID AMOUNT to a fan that thought he had the original... 3 - Kept by Steve of Vivid, who actually had it hanging in the background in his office during a national televised interview... Linky Winky? . |

My Grandson may get some benefit from it when he is older and I'n dead... :thumbsup |

Got a Chicago skyline pic printed on thin aluminum from a local Chicago photographer. Cost a few hundo but will probably last 100+ years.

Except for one part (blush) I bought and resold a piece of pop memorabilia a few years from a very exclusive company. The 'blush' part is because it was to do with Cyndi Lauper... But I digress. Thats how I came to biz with the company, and sort of got on the mailing list... Anyhoo, there was this guy who used to work with RB during the days that Virgin had signed the pistols... He was also a true punk fan, lived the lifestyle... But was also a bit of a thief... Turns out that when there was any 'memorabilia' left hanging about, from the pistols or any other of the bands signed by Virgin at the time, that he would take it... Anyway, he told the pistols that RB had asked them to sign it. They were not very happy about 'having' to do it, but they did, hence why they spelt their names wrongly! So he stole it, along with many other thing from other bands etc, and eventually got found out. He got fired and went off to do something else... He recently died (Poss drug related...) and all his possessions went to his Son. However, with the sons dad being a punk, the son rebelled in his own way, by becoming a big name in the London Stock market. Suit Tie and all that stuff. The son was going to burn / dispose of / throw away all the memorabilia, cause he didn't want HIS name associated with it, and TBH, he didn't need the money either... Somehow or other (Don't ask me) he got connected with a 'Charity' organisation, that in turn were connected to the people I bought the glove from originally... They contacted me via email, and thats how I got it... :) The *charity* angle is somewhat questionable, hence why I had to sign a legal agreement not to mention any actual names of the Guy, the Stockbroker, the *charity?* or the brokerage firm :) Kinda still a bit punk rock though :) |
