- Apple announces two new iPhones: The iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus. The iPhone 6 has a 4.7-inch screen, and the iPhone 6 Plus has a 5.5-inch screen. The iPhone 5s, for comparison, had a 4.0-inch screen.
- The iPhone 6 will cost $199 for a 16GB and will be available on September 19th. The iPhone 6 Plus starts at $299 for a 16GB phone and will also be available on September 19th.
- iOS 8 will be available as a free download on September 17th.
- Apple also announces Apple Pay, a new system to let you pay at the register by tapping your iPhone.
- And finally: Apple announces the Apple Watch.

Apple has officially "jumped the shark". I think a better name for the iWatch will be "iAmStillaVirgin". You gotta wonder if a former Microsoft exec was hired on at Apple and came up with this fuckbrained idea.

Most of their products are pretty sexy. This is not sexy. I can't even think of a way to make a digital watch sexy. Not sure that it's possible? Should have stayed away for that fact alone, LOL.

So basically at this point it's official - Apple is no longer the leader, but now trails behind by about a year. They finally have a bigger screen, and now they are launching a new product - a watch - that Samsung already has out.

I'm getting iPhone 6 but I doubt I will buy the watch, I just don't see the need for wearables yet. I prefer my nice watch that my wife bought me or the ones I like to buy myself that I can keep for a long long time to come. I'm not about to get into the smart watch market and continuously upgrade my watch as new versions come out.

The big question is battery life.

If it lasts 24 hours or less, then your going to get fed up charging it each day.

LOL to all the hating Sheeples. I don't think any of you really paid any attention to the presentation or read anything at all about the new products.

The Apple Watch is pretty interesting. The Nike Fuelband came out a couple of years ago and it is a pretty good product for people who want to excursive and stay fit. I credit this product to help me get started to get out of bed earlier, job or bike, and draw attention to the slob I was becoming without it.

My Fuelband died somehow though and surprise, I'm getting sloppy.

So the new Apple iPhone takes over for this and seems to have alot more features than the fuelband and with better integration too, with the Fitness app and other apps.

But so what, ok, its a fitness monitor. Check out what else it can do. It's a remote control for your Apple TV. It's a remote viewfinder for your Camera. You can read an email on the watch and then hand it off to your iPhone 6, and its backward compatible with the iPhone 5's. It gets its power from inductive charging.

Oh and this is cool: The Apple Watch works with Apple Pay. Pay for things just by swiping your watch. Awesome!

Now granted, the sales pitch is tiring. Clearly they are talking and walking just like Steve Jobs did and YAWN it's dull now, and I think the price of the watch is pricey at $349, but so what I'm sure it will do well.

The iPhone 6 looks amazing too. 1920x1080 Resolution. 7.1mm thick. 64 Bit. A8 Chip. 1080p HD Video at 60FPS and 240FPS Slow Motion. Fingerprint security, blah blah.

Of course you can still prefer Android and thats fine, but anyone who thinks Apple is going down the tubes just has their head in the sand.

I would of course wear one if I was to buy one. Then again I don't plan to until I see more apps for it. I'm not much of a watch guy but I guess I would if I found it useful and if it looked good. I have a $100 watch that I like because my GF bought it for me a few years ago. It's just stainless steel, not Gold or anything like that, but I like it for more than what it is. I don't think I would ever buy a rolex or similar big brand name.

Not a watch guy, got 2 nice watches and a spy watch but rarely wear them. Will buy the iPhone though. :2 cents:

I have a feeling the Apple watch will have a killer interface and the motion technology they have been discussing and other features seem really amazing.

The new Samsung Gear Watches is far more superior technically than the iWatch, the Galaxy S5 also seems to beat even the new iPhones.

That Moto 360 looks interesting - I actually like the round dial - The main problem for me with watches is I have a severe nickel allergy - Almost all have some nickel in them, even the so called solid gold ones...

I'm not crazy about how it looks. But it's features and integration with the iPhone make me want one.

When the original iPad came out everyone ridiculed that also.

I think the Apple Watch will sell in the millions.
