Smart Watches

The recent Apple announcement of selling a "smart watch" had me do some research and I discovered there are already a few others out there.

Last night Amazon delivered my Samsung Gear 2 Neo watch. After wearing it all morning long I've decided it's indispensable. It's a great watch. It does tons of stuff I don't need, but I love the notifications. I had to turn it off for emails because my emails are constant, but for text messages it's great - no more digging out the cell phone to read a text message.

It's really easy to use too.

I had the Gear 2 as well! Loved it, but my only issue with it was that I didn't like the square shape. Waiting on my Moto 360 which has done nothing but impress me with it's functionality.

How much was it ??

So you have the watch to read the texts which is really neat. But do you need to take your phone out to reply?

it is an awesome concept but i would personally never use it, way too small. The last thing i want is another device promting me.

It is strange having a square watch really.... It's like it's 1982 all over again.

I think on Amazon it was $186 but I got some kind of promo code that knocked off $40.

There is two versions - the full one with the camera and the Neo. I don't a camera on my wrist so I went with the cheaper one. I think the price difference is $100.

It can do all kinds of things - stream music, answer calls.... I saw I could reply to texts via "preset messages" but I believe I can say "reply" and then say the message, and then send it to the person - all without pushing a button.

Why does a watch need to be smart, isn't it's usage to give you the right time ;)
