Best time of day to take a multi vitamin tablet?
Without getting into the debate of wether its worth it or not, what in your opinion is the best time of day to take it?
First thing in the morning (So it can work / dissolve during the day) Midday (Neither Morn or Night) Last thing at night (So it can work / dissolve during your sleep) Any ideas? |
I take a One A Day multivitamin and a baby aspirin every morning. No scientific research done for a best time to take it I just do it first thing or I get busy during the day and forget about it. Vitamin was my idea, baby aspirin was a suggestion from Mom so whatever makes her happy. :2 cents:

Time doesn't really matter as long as you stick to similar each day. What is more important is taking it with food or a glass of orange juice so it is absorbed better.

i always thought it was best to take a multivitamin when you're eating something with some fat, something about it absorbing better.

Take it first thing in the morning as that's when your stomach is at it's most absorbent, also go for sachets in drinks, taking vitamins in liquid form ensures they get into the body

Like others mentioned take it with food / orange juice for better absorption. For when would be the best time to take one? How about testing it yourself, these vitamins works on an individual basis.
But I take mine with breakfast, that way I dont have to think about taking it during the day. |

Taking it in the morning is fine. For MAX effectiveness, at least according to several articles I've read over the years, is that taking supplements about one half hour to an hour after breakfast will net you the most results. The thinking is that at that time you have your digestion fully up and running and working at full capacity. Taking them in the morning also gives your system the rest of the day to utilize the nutrients in them.

If I take Vitamins at night I cant sleep. So I take them in the AM in the middle of breakfast.
