Is shooting porn legal there? Could not find anything restricting it in the law, though not sure about it. I know they ban homosexuality. Can anyone from Moldova share some info? thx

I have a friend who lived in Chisinau for about a year before he moved back to Bucharest. He told me that in Moldova, porn and prostitution were illegal under the same law, but the fine was low in USD if you were caught doing it, about $600. However, he said something similar to what Oracle said about bribery. Cheaper to bribe police, the Russian mob etc.

There is also a sex trafficking issue. Women are desperate to work, meaning real jobs, there aren't enough jobs in Moldova. These women are naive and fall for ads promising jobs in other countries, which of course, turn out to be *jobs* as sex slaves/prostitutes.

Moldova is so poor and there aren't many tourists, meaning not enough $ to keep in-country prostitution biz going. The Russians run *entertainment* clubs. You sit down to have a drink. A girl sits down next to you, then maybe 2 or 3 and by the end of the nite, for that pleasure, you end up with a $1000+ tab and if you don't pay, you get beaten up. It happened to someone my friend was working with. He called the cops and the cops don't care.

I heard the exact same thing from an embassy security guy. Everything else there seems to be dirt cheap. Could be a great place if they cleaned up the corruption.

this happens almost everywhere, even in Hamburg where I am from. but at least there the police helps you - opposed to most other places.

I checked their criminal code and could not find anything about pornography (except CP).

I think I found the law my friend referred to that covered porn and prostitution.
This law is not just limited to C but to all human beings.

Commercial sexual exploitation means profit-bringing activity, which results in the increase of the assets of the perpetrator or of other persons, expressed in the use of the victim, through constraint to engage in prostitution or in the pornographic industry.

Thank you, but then shooting porn does not automatically mean commercial usage. But looks like this is certainly something borderline.

Checking again, it clearly says "constraint" - which means forcing someone and that is obviously not this case. I have not found any mention of voluntary porn production being forbidden.

No, I'm not Moldavian, but I have few conection there. In the past (few years ago), I had the intention to shoot there and my friends from Chisinau have asked the opinion of a laywer and the answer was that shooting porn it's not legal.
Unfortunately I cannot refer the specific law, but this was a informed response few years ago. Maybe things was changed since then...

Best option is to fly the girls out to where you can safely shoot, It´s pretty easy to fly Moldavian girls/guys around Europe.
