Google keeps saying my website is in english. It's not.
Hi,
I already posted my problem to Google webmasters forums, without luck, maybe some guy here knows the solution. My site (videosdetetas.com) is in spanish and for some reason Google decided that the main page is in english. I believe this problem is making me lose a lot of organic search traffic. Anyway I'm posting a screenshot if there's any doubt. i58.tinypic.com/33mofmr.jpg Any help is highly appreciated.:helpme |
The Google is an asshole. For a fix, maybe it helps if you add some more spanish text.

I believe that is for multi-language sites. My website is just in spanish.
Man, I don't know what else to try.:Oh crap |
I read somewhere that Google may use dmoz (or other open directory) description language.
https:// productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/webmasters/tCbTmw5Y2D0 I think my problem has something to do with that. (Just added the meta "NOODP" tag) |
it is strange. google chrome has detected it was spanish and offered to translate it to english.

Have you tried setting the country within webmaster tools? That should do it.

Try changing es in your header to ES or Espanol.
