Have a Beer, Strong.. :)
|
|
I call beer all under 5.1%, and over 4.1% :)
Strong beer is just different from "normal" |

The max I've seen around here was 8.0
|
I used to drink 8% beer, but it was many years ago, now I rarely drink and prefer wine.
|
I like beer with a higher alcohol content at a party or get-together - but anything over 4.5 - 5.0 fucks up my pool game at the bar if I don't re-calculate.
With 4.5 beer - my best game(s) are usually between 3-4 beers. If I can keep the alcohol/lag consistent all evening...I have a good night on the tables. Beer and billiards have always been symbiotic that way for me. :1orglaugh |

Snake Venom from Scotland, 67.5%. :helpme

Strongest I've bought is Sink the Bismarck @ just over 40%.
Getting 15-25% isn't that rare. 2 weeks ago our neighborhood Whole Foods had a keg of The Beast that they had sitting for 2 years on tap. It was around 17% when they got it in 2 years ago... Guessing it went up... |
strong no more.

Yeah, well, even 7 is pretty strong (for me).
40% alcohol in a beer is unbelievable.. seems like whiskey.. |

BOXER Watermelon Strong Beer One of my new favorite summer bevvies! 8.5% alc/vol and a very nice smooth watermelon flavor Definitely worth trying if your beer store sells it!! |

I like corona 4.6
|
Well, it's not beer if it has more then 5, 6 % of alcohol... It's different...

Usually at a certain point people stop calling it beer and call it barely wine instead.
When I resort to buying beer, rather than figure up the highest ABV I usually figure up the highest ABV for the price. That means a cheap ass beer like Milwaukees Best Ice which is 5.9% at $6.49 per 12 pack (+ bottle deposit of 5 cents per). Best value in my store and they keep it deep in the beer cooler where it's hard to find. |

I like monk style beers from Belgium, they are usually around 8-12%. |

Unless you want to get drunk as cheap as possible, but that sounds like teenager logic. |

Home brew is similar to that price per ounce / liter, but it's the quality you might expect from a very pricey craft brew. I guess if I drank more, I would always have some home brew on tap. Probably a few taps. But.. I'm a lightweight drinker. |

Beer - made with grain Barley wine is a beer style, it is not a wine. |

Since you make your own beer and you know the taste of good craft beer how can you drink the cheapest store beer after that? I understand those that don't know any better, but those who enjoy craft or home made beer turn around and enjoy the cheapest shit afterwards? Just strange :) |

One of my favourite beers is Rochefort 10. It's 11.3% alc/vol. I've had stronger, but not better. |

There are many beer styles that have higher ABV than a barley wine. |
I home brew in the 7's.
Tried higher and just didn't taste that great to me. |
Gotta try that
|
|
I think Snake Venom is the winner !

12 Pack = $6.49 "That is $6.49 for a week to 10 days of beers for me which I decided is acceptable. " 12/10 = 1.2 beers per day |

A nice 10.2 . . . would probably make a great beer float. |
