there's a little X on the top right corner of the pop-up. SImply hover your cursor over that X using your mouse or touchpad, and then left click to make the window go away.
|

Guess I'll be re-enabling adblock for GFY.

What......a pop up ad!?!!? NOOOO..Ive never seen such a thing in my life. I cant believe GFY would do this to me. Its only ok to buy traffic from Popup ads not have them served to me.

Adblock doesn’t block it cause they are running it through vimeo. I could block vimeocdn.com but I don’t think I want to do that :1orglaugh
It’s not really an add, it just a popup video. If you click it, it does nothing or goes to vimeo. So I don't really see the point in it :2 cents: It’s pretty annoying for those that browse without logging in every time. I run my browser to clear history and delete all content each time I close it. So if I come to GFY 10 times a day I get the popup video 10 times a day :( |
It's like I came home and found that someone had rearranged the furniture in my living room.
 Then I realized... this isn't my house. |
Online marketers complaining about...
...online marketing? |
AdBlock is like any other AdBlocker.. you can add your own rules to them. In most cases, you can click the blocker's icon in your toolbar and select to "Block Element" and then click on whatever it is you want to block.
If you're one of the ones who really want to block it, then it's pretty easy to do, be it with AdBlock or whomever. Chances are, those programs will eventually update their rules to block by default anyway. |

How is it down? Looks up to me since may. Why not try new things? I get this is adult and instead of trying new things and evolving most people find it easier to complain and bitch. Good luck with that attitude :thumbsup |
Webmasters complaining about advertisement, the irony ...

If I were GFY I'd also detect people running ad blocking software and cancel their accounts. |
You would fire your volunteer workers, ron? You really are a dick :)
|
Do you advertise here ron? Banners are basically only good for branding. You should invest in some skillful shills to recruit affiliates. I would send traffic if teencat had 12clickscash in his sig.

You got me there. But, why get mad at people running adblock? It just means its time to think about advertising in a different manner. |
What pop up?
What Ads? Ad Block works fine. The ads are easier to rid yourself of then BM. |
|
pop up working
|
It seems like we should all be popping vimeo vids. But, I would make them more aggressive hulu style. Then I would charge for premium membership that doesn't remove the ads.

An ad overlay is new? |
I dont mind, push it on
|
ABP should solve the problem!
BUT!, since we are in a board with interesting ads... i'v disabled it. Its just a pop-over...... :) |
Pop-ups are the reason why so many hate and block ads today.
But keep annoy the shit out people. |
