Gaming may be a bigger part of the future for PayPal as it splits from eBay. PayPal already has a large footprint in mobile gaming, and intelligence firm SuperData Research says this is a natural space for PayPal to explore and expand.

You would think that Porn would be just as profitable and less issue than gaming and such.

Gaming is WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY more profitable. WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY more.

At first I thought they meant gaming as in online gambling, but I see they mean video gamers and gaming-related companies like Valve, Steam, etc.

I had a gambling/gaming website years ago and paypal got after me to remove all mention of their service off of it. It's the only time my account with them was ever frozen in fact.

But online gaming? Totally profitable for sure. And growing moreso every day. I'm surprised it took them this long to move into that market.

i am too.. i am tinkering with some retarded tick based game.. had a 'banner free' option for $3 bucks.. with paypal it was done in under 2 minutes

credit card? id never even think about chancing it, much less get that purchased in under 2 minutes
