Flight at Squaw Valley (Drones)
 

I took my drones out for a spin today around Squaw Valley, CA before the winter sets in. It was a great day do to do some flying here in Tahoe.

This is pointing up to high camp, where I hope the fuck we get some decent snow this year.

Pointing towards the Village, It seems all small this high up but well, looks can be deceiving.. (thats what she said) :)

I hope to get time to work on some video stuff...

You guys deserve a good winter after last year.

Colorado here and we have snow on the peaks and started snow making last night.

What "drone" are you flying?

I've got a Phantom, Phantom 2 and a Tali 500.

I have 2 Phantom 2's fully loaded with iOSD, video transmitter, black pearl monitor, ground station.. Im looking to upgrade soon to the S900 soon..

haha i didnt think of that but now that you say it! its actually pointing to the run that goes from top to bottom which is about give or take a mile or 2, but watch out so many amateurs on the slopes.

That's where I'm looking to move as well.

Is that from the Phantom built-in cam - or...GoPro?

As yo have 2 choices with Phantom 2, and 2 vision+ I prefer the phantom 2 where I was able to use the gopro 3 black+ edition, and now gopro offers another camera that can shoot 4k video at 30fps, the current one I have shoots at 15fps for 4k, so I usually shoot in 2.7k then crop as needed. Also shooting at that rez you do not really get the props in the way unless you have going full blast forward etc..

Squaw Valley was the absolute BEST place I ever boarded. LOVED every minute!
