Mac and Windows Keyboard & Mouse

I'm currently running a macbook and thinkpad. I'm looking to move towards a more desktop setup. I'd like to try and accomplish this through use of one keyboard and one mouse and the addition of an external monitor. I will be interchanging between both machines.

A. Is it possible?
B. What product(s) (keyboard and mouse) do you recommend I buy?
C. If I cannot accomplish this setup, what do you recommend as an alternative?

I use Logitech products. I use a G19 for my keyboard (switching to an Orion 910), and an MX Performance for my mouse. Both work well with Windows and OS X.

Thanks edgeprod. I didn't see in the specs that Orion 910 was supported on a macbook. Are there any relatively inexpensive that work on both or a combo set that is under $200 that works well on both OS's?
