I stayed at the 'Red Roof Inn' on Winnetka & Ventura back in 2001....

Every fucking night, there was this REALLY LOUD cricket, right outside my door. I actually went out looking for it on a few occasions, but had no luck.

Turned out, it was actually a 'rock' - A speaker disguised to look like a rock - that was creating the sound artificially!

I soon, 'ahem' disconnected it ! Peace n quiet - Lovely !
