Baseball fans must be freaking amazed right now
Kansas City Royals, holy shit. First team in major league history to have an 8-0 start in the post-season. That's two straight sweeps of playoff series'.
How about those Royals? The Kansas City Royals are American League Champions for the first time since 1985? The Royals beatt the Baltimore Orioles 2-1 to complete a four-game sweep? The Royals become the first team in major league history to open a post-season with eight straight wins. I'm really not much of a baseball fan but I can see this is a huge deal and give credit where credit is due. Being the first team in major league history to do ANYTHING these days is huge I would think. |
Amazed and disapointed. I am a lifetime Pittsburgh Pirates fan and also an Angels fan.

what's insane about KC is they came out of nowhere into the post season. they ran roughshod over the angels, no one expected it all.

People and sports media types are touting them as "the team of destiny" now.
Are they? |

New societal standards laws must be enacted.
They would allow you to legally walk up to people in public and punch them in the face for wearing the gear of a team they haven't supported prior to the bandwagoning that will occur. I've never seen anyone in California, ever, wearing a KC hat or jersey. There will be millions of freshly cookie cuttered clowns wearing that shit next week. Ugggh. More sheep. Inbound. . |
Giants on verge: The San Francisco Giants are one win away from advancing to the World Series and a showdown with the Royals… Buster Posey drove in three runs as the Giants beat St. Louis 6-4…Looks like it will be a KC-San Fran World Series. Should be good. I may even watch the highlights. :D |
Even a blind squirrel and all that.

KC is shit, they've been mediocre all year in a weak ass division and got hot at the perfect time. The same thing with the redsox last year. The only benefit of them taking it all in the world series this year is it would help owners and gm's begin to understand that having to spend 130+ million a year on your players in one year is unnecessary to win, which seems to mostly go to starting pitching these days which is also pretty stupid given how apt they are to injuries.
angels and the orioles are both teams that have been better than all the others all year but fell flat on their face at the wrong time. kc deserves to get there and even win, they've earned it, but they are still shit ;) Last place next season. Quote:
