Actors and their characters - age difference
 

Ok so everybody knows when 25 year olds play teenagers, that may be understandable because there are not enough teenage actors or stars or whatever...
But how would you explain this situation, Hawaii 5-0 series and this guy plays a killer:

His real age is 49 years old, but on the show they specify that his character is 38 years old. Age does not play any role there, so why could not have he been 45 years old character, why ridiculously fake number?

I am glad you have found the important things in life/business to care about....

to make you think that you are young, while you are not far for to rot from your old age...

I was just watching the show, he looked older, I checked and wondered what could be the reason. So just curiosity.

He could pass for 49 even more.

I understand when a role requires 38 year old and he can pass for that. The point was that role did not require that (it was pretty much irrelevant), so it would have made more sense to go with the age he can pass for even more accurately.

Dark matter series (she was 20 at the time or so).

So I am watching it and see this chick and say, damn she is fine, I would like to bang her.
Then it turns out in the series she is supposedly to be 13-15 years old :1orglaugh
I was like WTF, this is way too much. :error
