Systems Administrator, Administration Tools Developer

Work to be done:
Design and build software for automating installations and updates of CentOS machines. Tools for collection and parsing of high volumes of log files generated by multiple services on hundreds of machines, stored in central backend cluster, search / analysis tools. Recommendations on potential existing software for use when and where applicable. Help manage network infrastructure growth, monitoring. Work with application developers to profile bottlenecks in MySQL, memcached/redis, and general disk/network IO issues. Help build & integrate tools for better automated detection of DoS attacks. All around problem solving from the IP level up to the application level.

What skills are needed?
Experience managing RHEL based servers C/C++, PHP, IP networking experience with BGP, OSPF routing, Juniper experience a plus. MySQL expertise a must, Apache, Memcached, Redis, Flash Media Server, Wowza Media Server experience a plus.
