Total’s CEO Christophe de Margerie died in a plane accident at Moscow’s Vnukovo airport on Tuesday.
Christophe de Margerie, the CEO of Total (the world's 13th biggest oil producer and Europe's 2nd largest) “One passenger was registered for the flight - a citizen of France, Christophe de Margerie. Three members of the crew - also citizens of France. They all died,” the source said. That's terrible....... I had shares in Total before so I know of this guy. He's been with the company a long time and made it one of the most exciting oil companies with investment in so many alternative energy play sunpower etc. He turned into one of the most exciting oil company in the world which is actually totally undervalued, pays a massive dividend and is probably about get even cheaper. I guess this will be the top story on Bloomberg.

Wouldn't surprise me...... theres a lot of politics in oil and lately especially with TOTAL which operates as globally as you could imagine and is probably more diversified than any other integrated oil co. Putin has given his condolensces:
