Getty Images for blogs
They have a free program where you can use their photos for your blog or whatever but you have to use their iframe embed code. Is there an alternative at Getty where you can pay a monthly fee to use their images on your own without their embeded iframe?
|
Yes, you can license them, but when you hear the price you will shit your pants. Plus, the licensing price is a monthly fee so for example 100 images could be $1500 with a 6 month commitment, and if at any point you cancel your agreement you will have 60 days to remove all images. So, in essence, it's really more of a rental than a license.
Things may have changed, but this is how Getty, Splash, all of them were last year. |
Getty sucks, I use canstockphoto.com, they are cheap

BTW, I was talking about celebrity images and such, hence the price tag.

Shit, I want it for the editorial pics, pro sports specifically.

Flickr has tons of images that you can use on your blogs, many of them free. Not sure if you are going to find good ones in pro sports, but worth a try.
Make sure you search by licensing terms to get the ones that you want and also, you need to post a link back to the terms and the image owner link (not so sure about this one), again read the terms of the image. |
