Always do this:
1) Webmaster + Google
2) Host
3) Registrar
4) Payment sources / Partners / Sponsors etc.

I always do 1-2 together. Depending on who it is I may do 1-2-3.

I never had to do 4 yet.

If all else fails you can send them a valid cease and desist and bring them to court for copyright infringement. Depending on where you're located you may be able to bring them to the small claims court or higher.

You have to get service ( serve the complaint) on the Defendant in a competent jurisdiction.

In other words, if he does not do business in your local area you have to sue the Defendant either in his jurisdiction or the jurisdiction where the tort (unlawful action) occurred.
Good luck with that ...

Dont forget number 5. Host upstream provider.

That usually gets them jumping.

Can they actually ignore it, legally? I can understand the payment processors saying it's not their problem, but the domain registrar?

myleene 10-23-2014 03:09 PM

Chris and freecartoonporn if you're interested, transfer me your full DMCA's by email as well as to whom you sent it to.

I may be able to give hints on what the issue is. An invalid or incomplete DMCA doesn't have to be respected and that may be the issue.
