iPhone 6 Burns People

Just.... lol. Here's what I imagine is going on at Apple:

Apple guy: So wait..... customers DON'T want a phone that burns them? Ahh.... oops.

burngate!

Apple already replaced the iPhone. He is asking Apple to foot his medical bills.

Tom_PM 10-23-2014 11:05 AM

So.. what are those numbers again? Only a few hundred burned people? Phhhhhhhht. Fuck those whiners, amirite?

I wouldn't WANT a replacement phone. I would want them to pay me all the money.
All. The. Money.
They can sue the lithium battery maker if they want to.

That entire article reads as if it was paid for by Apple. It's just telling people it's nothing, EVEN IF IT HAPPENS TO YOU, it's nothing. So stop being a fucking whiner.

Asking Apple to take responsibility for their product bursting into flames is not out of line.

Two months ago I read about a recall by HP. It was for power cords on laptops. My HP laptop is three years old, but I thought I would check it out anyway. My model was on the list. Apparently a dozen or so power cords, out of millions, got a little too hot and caused charring on carpet, etc.

HP replaced all of them. All you had to do was apply on their website and wait for the replacement (which they paid for.) A dozen or so out of millions and they took this massive cautionary step. I would assume for litigation reasons, not just to be nice, but all the same they did replace cords when only a few were impacted.

I could never see Apple do this. In fact, when I was at the Apple store a few weeks ago I asked the employee that I was talking to about the Plus phones bending and whether or not Apple would replace them. He says "sure, if you have Applecare just bring your phone in and pay the deductible and we will replace it."

That's right. You need that extended insurance and you need to pay the deductible to get a faulty product replaced.

lol that is some shady shit. i like how the 'video tests' show a 'substantial bit of force is required'.

i remember leaving a nail in my pocket while working for my grandfather as a kid.. once i got home, the nail had entirely bent around my leg.. turns out, one doesn't simply need strength, just friction and time..

Communism was evil until they started making smart phones.

It's like getting an Apple signature or Tattoo, it's definitely a Superior burn to relish.

Wow, no one knows a certain percentage of every product will have problems no matter what? Michelin tires, Samsung flat screens, Mercedes cars, etc. But watching everyone gloat is fun.

bronco67 10-23-2014 09:15 PM

Apple burns you in other ways besides figuratively.

PaperstreetWinston 10-23-2014 10:37 PM

it just works, not like you wanted it but it works

MPGdevil 10-23-2014 11:36 PM

Also read today the plastic on the new iPhone absorb color from jeans. It really is a multi functional tool.

MPGdevil 10-23-2014 11:40 PM

What the fuss btw. You will be school's most popular with a burned Apple logo on your butt.
