You have 3 things to consider in what you asked
- sizes as everyone has listed here, you need a full range of sizes as all sites are different and also your affiliates will have a preference relative to the importance they place upon your affiliate program. - graphics should be in keeping with your website, no point in having graphics that are different than your site or you won't be attracting your target market. Your logo should always be clear and stand out as this is the brand you are trying to build, no point in having it lost in all those flashing gifs. It seems adult sites can't get away from using all flashing, all dancing gifs but it has been found on mainstream sites that these are less effective then just a static graphic. In fact now people find them annoying and are more likely to ignore them for the well designed static image and you might even find your affiliates may prefer static images as they don't want to detract from their sites either. For text just do a search for the best Google fonts for banners and you will come up with some interesting ideas. - color is also important as if for example you have 30 affiliates then most likely there is 30 color schemes, pretty impossible to account for but to make things simple have at least 1 light color set and 1 dark. By offering affiliates a wide choice that fits with their web design the more likely you are to get better placement and wider use throughout their landing pages. After you have made the first few banners all the rest are just resizing and coloring so it doesn't cost a lot more to make an extra amount to please your affiliates. |
While 300x250 is the most popular, looks like the 300x100 for mobile is missing. You might want to include that one too ;)
