Student opens fire at Washington state high school, now dead: police
SEATTLE (Reuters) - A student opened fire at a high school in Washington state on Friday, wounding an unknown number of victims, and the assailant was now dead, police said.
It was not immediately clear how many people were wounded in the shooting at Marysville-Pilchuck High School, about 30 miles north of Seattle, but the shooter was the only fatality, Marysville Police Commander Robb Lamoureux told reporters. Lamoureux said authorities believed that the shooter acted alone, but had no immediate word on a motive. He said they were not yet releasing the suspect's identity or gender. Local media reported that at least two people were wounded and had been air-lifted to a local hospital, where their condition was not immediately clear. A spokeswoman for Harborview Medical Center in Seattle said the hospital was expecting to receive one patient from the shooting but had no word on that person?s condition. "The Marysville Pilchuck High School is currently in lock down due to an emergency situation. Police and emergency services have responded," the school district said in a message on its website. full article |

You have a society that breeds kids to believe that life should be perfect. Pamper them with as many material things as possible, make sure every kid on a team gets a trophy for playing, convince them that life should not have any heartache, and advertise that unless they have thousands of dollars to spend that they aren't successful. Raise them without morality or suffering any consequences for their actions and this is the life you will see.
My kids were raised hearing the word "NO" more than yes and they learned to be thankful for what they had. They learned to earn whatever they got and that the world did not owe them anything for being born. In other words, they were hammered with COMMON SENSE in their raising without any problems with breaking the law and they now are outstanding parents to their own kids with good paying jobs. Perhaps if they had less electronics to babysit them and more face to face time spent with them, they would learn how to deal with their own lives in a rational manner. |

Well that's it for watching CNN for the rest of the today, it just became a Single News Story Day.
I wonder what makes them do it? Could it be these barely stable hormone filled angst ridden teens who haven't yet learned how to handle the emotions bubbling up within themselves see a way to take revenge on a world that has been so unfair to them by killing as many as they can so they can be assured of their fame from the wall-to-wall media coverage, and then taking themselves out in the ultimate "Fuck You" knowing their names will live on for at least the next 10 news cycles like the ones who did it before them? Naaa, it's all the gun's fault. |

Here we go again.
NOTHING will ever change in this country about gun control until a few Senator's or Congressman's kids gets killed at school. Otherwise, they don't give a flying fuck if the rest of us shoot each other to pieces. You 'gun pro' psychos need not reply. Don't worry, your guns are safe. Our government is too feeble and moronic to change anything so happy shooting fuck heads. |

Evidently when you feel worthless and want to end it all, some want to be memorialized in the process. The American media will instantly memorialize you, on an international level, if you're a successful suicidal terrorist in a Western country, school shooter, or serial killer.
For more than a week we'll be told about every facet of these losers lives, just what they wanted. |
i remember the days when this kind of news was surprising and came as a shock - nowadays it's almost normal this happens.
