Mexican Cartels vs ISIL/ISIS/IS
Maybe I'm watching too much SOA...but
Who wins? My bet is on the cartels. Please discuss. |
Cartels easily
|
|
Depends on the number of scumbags at each side as well.
|
We fear ISIS because it is composed of supremacists who view Christians, Jews. atheists, yazidis, Kurds, to mention a few, as undeserving of life. Cartels, who do kill in a similar horrific manner, do so in the pursuit of money. However bad that is, we can at least rationalize it. ISIS, on the other hand, is motivated by hatred and emboldened by their religion's frightening supremacist aspects. Lastly, "western bigotry" is quite a sweeping generalization and considered bigoted to many in the westerners referred to.

Where did the cartels get their idea of beheading? Not IS, as far as ME goes that goes back to Saudi Arabia... but cartels know it throws people into panic. Is it ancient Mayan/Aztec shit or just mayhem/fun?
Votes seem split. Mr. Death courtesy of wehateporn is a tiebreaker... Based on human nature, I'm thinking greed wins. But I could be wrong. What say you? |
wtf is ISIL/ISIS/IS?
|
But there's a difference here, and a critical one. The cartels are bandits, pure and simple. Not one of them would die for the drugs they deal if they had a choice, and not one would sacrifice their lives so the cartel could live. ISIS/ISIL/IS/The Terrorist State are by contrast an ideological organisation, one for whom death in the service of the cult is a major part of the reason to join. Not all, but a substantial number - dare I say even most of them - would die for their cause.
It is quite literally the difference between people who kill for money versus people who kill for religion. One is substantially more terrifying than the other, simply for the cause of their psychopathic behaviour. |

http://www.zerohedge.com/sites/defau...901_ISIS_0.jpg ISIL/ISIS/IS probably have over 2$ billion in assets and around 20,000 fighters. Plus they looted $400m from Mosul's central bank. I would say Mexican Cartels would win because Mexican drug trafficking is estimated by analysts to be worth $13 billion US a year. |

Isis has a lot of money, but imo them being "new" they don't have the structure to properly utilize it all |
