The Collective Minds of GFY: How would you monetize this site?
 

Hi Guys, Im currently pulled in a few different directions your insight and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Basically this is a "what would you do" type of situation.

Im looking for a fresh perspective on ideas to monetize one of our secondary sites that we have typically left untouched.

I am also interested in the forum's thoughts on what this amount of traffic can generate in conjunction with said monetization techniques.

I've just had a look at your site and visually it looks great, clean and professional but I suppose my question to you would be is what is the site intended for....as a viewer, once I'm on your home page is the hope that I will click on a girl and watch her video, or is there an affiliate link so I can sign up to her site? Or does this site offer membership subscription or content downloads?

There are several ways you could make money with this site and with such good traffic you would be silly not to, I guess the main thing to clarify is the function of the website and the features it offers and to formulate a business plan so you work out how to move forward

Yes the goal is that you view the video. We own and shoot all the content. There is no membership or affiliate link. No we are looking to monetize this site in other ways to keep it free for the user. Ant ideas?

Why are you wanting to keep it free for the user if that could potentially be the best monetizer?

We don't want to deter any user from visiting by implementing a fee

Do the same thing that world star hip hop is doing.

They are using adsense banners on their site.
Place them in the same place they do.

wow hmmm one of the dudes from wshh asks for advice on gfy and 2-3 people are willing to help, this shit is crazy.

I would recommend adding either a cam or a dating sponsor, either a popunder or if you don't want popups you can try an IM ad or banners.

Although 1 mil uniques per month isn't that much now a days, considering the demographics of your visitors you can pull some K's. Nothing comparing to WSHH though flying walmart ads, but money is money :)
