It's very simple - I don't want to die, and I don't want people I care about to die, but because of the six billion morons on Earth - including you - we are all going to die for no reason.

It's pretty simple - all we would have to do is divert a small percentage of world resources, efforts, money etc. into aging research. Then, solve the problem of aging, and then provide the treatment. Simple - they fix a few genes, we don't age.

They will figure this out fairly soon, but you and I will probably be dead by then - perhaps the last generation to age and die!

Instead of addressing this issue, you go about your incredibly stupid life, worrying about some pointless garbage. You probably care more about your sports team or your car or your whatever. And then you die, and your family dies - when they could have lived. Nice going, morons!

If you lived forever, you'd be guaranteed to outlive your children, which is bad enough on a purely emotional level, but you'd also outlive your grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The first step towards a longer human lifespan is fighting viruses. They probably cause just about every terminal condition. The wheels are in motion to make this a reality.

I think that will have more people living but not necessarily longer. The body will still age and "wear out" at the normal rate.

Just for the record, there are three fronts on this that scientists are working on: 1. The gene that if blocked aging doesn't happen or is delayed 2. Reverce of aging 3. Functioning properly in aged body.
#3 will cone first as it is based on puting young blood into old person, after such transfusion the old person have sharper memory, better motory control and so on, it turns out that there is something in the blood plasma that is reduced with age and this is why you don't function as good. Scientist areworking towards making this like a injection you get like once a week and then you can go and do just about anything you could do when you were 40
#2 has some issues to be worked out, once the reverse aging is triggered it stops at some point by itself and they don't know yet how to do it manually, ie going back to 25 is fun, going back to 10 not so much...
My best guess old powerfull folks will use the reverse procedure to get back to being young and then keep it that way while wre going to get the pill or injection that keeps us functional; Just how things work, but this is not that bad as we are few too many on the planet anyway, imagine what will happen if we don't have expiration date...
