Why would a Health Club/Gym be getting a Liquor License?

I saw the little "notice" that was hard to find a the entrance...

they have another room in the building they hire out maybe?

I'm having my bachelor party and wedding reception at your gym.

Doesn't everyone have a few drinks before exercising? I think the saying is "a few rounds then a few reps".

I go to Equinox and they have member parties and stuff. The really high end gyms are more social places so they could be putting in a lounge or something.

It seems exercise and booze goes together.

My bike club meets up at Starbucks and then bikes to a local winery. I don't drink coffee or wine so I don't get it either.

Yeah i was leaning towards that idea , they are laways having "socail" get to gethers and such so I guess serving alcohol is the missing element
