Rich solo models?

Did any of the big names from the 2000-2006 heyday of solo models make it rich? I assume dumping loads of cash on a young girl didn't lead to smart investment choices but some of them must have made a life for themselves?

Raven Riley
Tawnee Stone
Melissa Midwest

?

Saw the Jayman thread and an old Kari Sweets gallery. It got me thinking.

That would be interesting to know. Back in the 90s I knew a lady who lived extremely well and was smart. Bought her home, cars, saved some and vacationed a lot. She did it right.

arock10 11-12-2014 08:12 AM

There are some well off fetish models but most of the time you gotta start pushing other models under your brand to do good numbers long term.

trevesty 11-12-2014 08:18 AM

I know of a couple currently active ones(who've been around for a decade or so) that easily clear mid $xx,xxx per month still.

Rochard 11-12-2014 08:28 AM

Tawnee Stone put herself and her husband through college, bought a brand new car, and bought a house. Not bad at all for a twenty-one year old or twenty-two year old, whatever she was by the time it was all over.

hardly impressive for one of the most popular porn models... it's better than nothing... but half the world jerked off to her nude pics and all she has is a house to show for it? :helpme

Best-In-BC 11-12-2014 09:11 AM

Yea it's Internet porn not Hollywood

seeandsee 11-12-2014 09:31 AM

I bet some are rich

Validus 11-12-2014 10:34 AM

Define rich :)

The Porn Nerd 11-12-2014 10:50 AM

While some may have done well for themselves and walked away with "stuff" (like cars, houses, etc) I doubt any got "rich" (over a million plus). What's more, if any of them DID make that kind of coin it is long gone by now....

Besides, let's say they made a fuckload of cash....now what? They better be doing something else with their lives now or have found a Sugar Daddy otherwise it's back to porn, this time as a MILF.

Invest even some of the money and the money is not gone by now, it's multiplied (about doubled-tripled by now).

Not impressive? Really?

When I was twenty-two I was a high school drop out flipping burgers for $3 an hour.

After three years of working for us she had bought a house ($250k cash) AND put herself AND her boyfriend through college while living like a damn king. All of this for working maybe ten hours a month....

She wasn't a millionaire by any stretch of the imagination, but she made a lot money for her age and spent it wisely.

DAMNMAN 11-12-2014 11:09 AM

Don't forget some of them married up!!! and are now rich!!!

maybe for porn industry that's impressive...

I thought you were going to blind side me by saying she bought a mansion on the beach... but $250k house after 3 years of working? :1orglaugh

yea, she did alright, but lets be real here, $250k is a joke, especially considering she was one of the most popular porn models at that time, during the peak of internet porn...

_Richard_ 11-12-2014 11:51 AM

if she is smart enough to do it that way, she was smart enough to invest

eh wog

fuzebox 11-12-2014 11:54 AM

The goal of a paysite owner is to acquire the content as cheaply as possible. The talent will never/should not make as much as the site owner. :2 cents:

Let's not forget, she probably spent over 100k a year on holiday & lifestyle. Most people with a million mansion, do not usually own their home, it's on mortgage & most in the 90's in Britain lost homes they had invested their earning into.

I think this was spent wisely & now must be living an alright life :thumbsup

Also I think there is this fantasy that porn nets alot more than it ever really did. If a hedgefund manager had to switch income with a top porn site .He would kill himself. lol Also the girl doesnt get all the money. All those affiliates had to get paid , staff, processing, the owner of the program.
She bought a house for cash, I bet 95 percent of this board couldnt say that and put her and her hubby thru college with no debt. I would say the girl was very smart.

I'm not going to pretend that I know jack about Tawnee but I doubt she bought the house with cash. I know Raven Riley didn't and although she made damn good money, as far as models are concerned, she's since lost her house.

I would love to try buying a house for "cash", as in a sack full of dollar bills ;)

Classy move disclosing her financial hardships on an industry board where a lot of people know/knew her..

So since you weren't a popular photographer back like 6 years ago, how are you making ends meet? with your "adult sites that you don't care to disclose"?

Do you even own your own home?

zuffa 11-12-2014 08:10 PM

Rich is subjective.

The income level in what is commonly called the "5 percent," refers to Americans who make more than $150,000 annually.

At the top of the economic ladder is the so-called "1 percent," or households that earn more than $250,000 annually.

So if a solo model made 150k annually for each year she actively updated her site, does that qualify as "rich"?

Or

Does rich only apply to how well they managed their money regardless of the actual amount they made each year?

Also.. what do you consider a solo model?

I know of three "solo models" that have paid in full real estate investments over $1mil as well as investment portfolios. Each of these three would be considered "MILF's" who started as MILF's with solo sites and then branched into other areas of the adult entertainment industry.

People around here like to brag, the reality is very few people make 250k a year through a career regardless of the industry. Even fewer manage to turn that income into long term wealth.

There is a difference between three years of working and working six to ten hours a month for three years.

Was she a millionaire? Nope. But she was pretty much set at age 23 or whatever she was.

I'm sure that is possible but I was referring to :

live cams
Shooting in LA
Private Videos
Clips4Sale
Phone Sex
etc

There is a well known Solo Model right now making 100k a year through just one application doing text & phone in her spare time.

There was a huge thread about Melissa Midwest a while back. I think the cliffs were basically she was broke and not paying webmasters and her webmaster biggy (who moved on to better things... and also loves the cock) helped out to try and get people paid but I'm sure the site died since then. So basically she lived well when the site was doing good but is probably waitressing or stripping somewhere.

She got robbed considering how much other people made off of her.

Carol Cox, Naughty Allie, Wifey, Sammy4u to name a few, might not be teen solo girls but these women made their mark and a fortune.

It was a poor joke she is alive and an accountant.

If true, those are very depressing numbers.

When I think rich it would mean having at least a few million in the bank or elsewhere available. Making 1m+ a year.

All it takes is a little research. In 2014 the number of millionaires surged 14% to a total of 13.7 million worldwide

With a World population of 7.125 billion that means only .00002% of the population has the kind of numbers you are talking about.

By way of example, the average Internal Medicine physician earns 185k per year right?

So, by comparison there are a number of models in adult making "doctor money' :2 cents:
