Virus or Bad Ad causing a redirect?
Every once in a while, Seems to happen when I go to Reuters. I get redirected to a site called easyjavafix. That says I need to update my flash.
http://i.imgur.com/tTmAsW1.jpg Checking my cache file. I notice before I hit the virus site I see 2 urls. seuleda.com and iffult.com/click?offer=296&aff=8&subid=521db443a87dca32c9b630 7b31a02cc0 both redirect to the easyjavafix site. Any thoughts on tracking this down? Do you think it is a adware on my PC? I don't see anything on the sites when I search for them. |
You should scan for adware first, try their free version

bump for you!

Run a scan with the free versions of Malwarebytes Antimalware and Emsisoft Emergency Kit to be on the safe side - also install Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit, works great for blocking all kinds of browser attacks.
|
scan the url at VirusTotal - Free Online Virus, Malware and URL Scanner
|
clear the cockies with ccleaner and then try to reinstal it.:)

Thanks for the feedback all. Scans in malwarebytes and security essentials aren't finding anything. I will try a scan with Emsisoft Emergency Kit.
I have seen this on both my computers. Usually see it when going to Reuters web site. Happened in both firefox and chrome. I noticed in chrome the fl_setup.exe file is downloaded without even asking. Scanning the file in virustotal gives a huge list of crap. |
