FDA tests find very low levels of arsenic in rice
The FDA investigated the matter a year later and Quote:
It's like the findings that some sodium gets into drinking water that is made with a water softener that uses a saline brine (water softener salt) but the sodium level is very low from saline ion exchange. |

I eat maybe 5 pounds of brown or emperor (full grain) rice a year, if that.
I probably eat more arsenic from fruit and vegetables (pesticides) that I forget to wash with dishsoap and water before I eat them. But if the concentrations of arsenic are that dangerous -- why don't people in Asia, where rice is a larger part of their diets, not have much higher cancer rates then they do? That being said, I wouldn't eat brown rice every day of feed a baby rice cereal daily knowing this ... Don't forget the GMO corn that gets into everything we eat in the USA :upsidedow |
