Awesome: Classic Battlestar Galactica with Modern Visual Effects Demo

I have to admit I was skeptical of seeing the original BSG with modern effects. I know they're dated but I really like the old effects of this show, especially since VFX genius John Dykstra is one of my personal heroes.

Anyway, check this out

that was a ridiculous show... how many years into the future and yet they were still using mechanical engines? how realistic is that?

Nice work. Funny thing is I have been reading a book about the show. its 2 episodes and was pretty good even compared to some of today's space movies/shows.

Actually it's not the future... if you go by the original show, it was "now". If you go by the remake, it was hundreds of thousands of years ago.

Anyway, who cares.. I don't know why but I loved the show. It was Star Wars for the small screen, plus.
