Promo Tools That Land Surfer on Splash Page
Would you bother using them? My experience is they kick sales in the nuts.

Nothin?
Look, I'll be straight wit chu. I'm trying to help a program owner and fellow affiliates out here. Probably many of you are affiliates to this program and don't even know about the changes so...I'm trying to get a consensus if this was a smart or dumb move by the program. Word I am hearing from professionals is that ratios suck rags after making such a move. . . . . What say you? Even the surfers/upload monkeys can chime in. God knows we have enough of you here now. :thumbsup Edit for the upload monkeys. Lets say you have a movie you've ripped and uploaded to a filelocker. The surfer clicks your link and they go to the filelocker's homepage rather than your upload. You pissed or you cool wit it? |

No one has an opinion? I know its a business question but seriously? :1orglaugh |
What is a splash page? Isn't that the page that was recommended back in 1999 to try and deter underage surfers?

I've had some interesting responses on other forums confirming my concern is that sales ratios go in the toilet after a program does this. FREE WILLY! |
If you use splash pages you also use a rotating script.

Either way, landing on a splash page should be promoting more content, should it not? |

No, I am talking about having a surfer land on an ENTER or EXIT page after coming from a video or photo gallery. They have to click in to the tour or bounce away. Its better if the surfer clicks onto the home of the tour and goes from there and NOT on the ENTER or EXIT. We recently had a sponsor make this change to enter or exit and 40-45 sales per month went to 50%. |
